Allergic to Lilacs

I began to record myself in April, 2017, almost a year after I made most of the images in Allergic to Lilacs. Having put down my camera, I was trying to understand what my photographs were really about.

A curated collection of the voice recordings made over the next year were included in my 2018 installation – audible to gallery goers only after they'd triggered one of the four "touch frames" created specifically for the installation via the touch of their hand.
